Mobile App Redesign
In redesigning VIIA's mobile app, I made it look better and work better, focusing on making travel greener and friendlier in the UK. The app helps solve the problem of too many empty car seats by making it easy for people to share rides. This saves money, is better for the planet, and makes trips more fun by meeting new people.
I made the app easy to use, so drivers can quickly offer seats and travelers can find rides that fit their plans. The new design is simple and clear, making carpooling a great choice for anyone looking to travel smarter, save money, and help the environment.
This redesign wasn't just about improving how the app looks but also about encouraging more people to choose carpooling, making travel in the UK more sustainable and social.
In redesigning the VIIA app, I introduced a key feature aimed at enhancing user safety: the Emergency Safety Button. Recognizing the paramount importance of safety in shared travel experiences, I designed this button to offer immediate assistance in emergencies. It's conveniently placed within the app, allowing users to send a distress signal and share their location with a single tap, without disrupting their journey's navigation.
This feature was designed with the user's peace of mind at the forefront, ensuring that both drivers and passengers feel secure and supported at all times. The design of the Safety Button not only underscores VIIA's dedication to creating a safe and welcoming community but also my commitment to delivering thoughtful, user-centric design solutions that address real-world concerns and improve the overall carpooling experience.
